Graphic
Watermarks are a means to digigitally embed your web graphics with a copyright. The reason people use it is because they sometimes spend literally hours creating and refining the graphics you see on the web. When they place graphics on their site for others to use, it just wouldn't be right for someone else to use them and profit by their use. A digital watermark can be traced and located anywhere on the Internet where it is being used. When you're surfing the Internet, please be respectful of the work people have labored over and don't download their graphics unless they have expressly noted their permission someplace on the page. Permission to download from one page does not imply permission to download from another of their pages. Some of the graphics used in my designs are 'unrestricted' downloads, meaning the person who posted them to the web site for download didn't place any 'restrictions' on their use (should I receive a complaint from any of these sites, I will of course, remove said graphics and replace them with some of my own). The designs, on the other hand, are all mine. I didn't download any of them from other sites and that's why I am placing restrictions on their use. For more information on 'Watermarking', Check out Digital Marketing, Inc. at their web site. The last time I visited their page, they had a free reader and a 'personal' edition posted for free use.
